One Monster Cupcake

Sorry for the lack of knitting content once again, but I have to say this is just about the next best thing… A GIANT CUPCAKE!

I originally saw this cake mold on NotMartha.org, and I had mentioned how cute it was to my older sister Diane. And guess what—she got me it for my birthday! Today I got a chance to try it out, and it still feels like I’m celebrating almost a week after my actual b-day.

My cake decorating skills are nothing spectacular for sure. I only have a few frosting tips and no other special spatulas or tools. Even so, this was pretty fun and easy to frost, and even though it looks a bit sloppy I just like to think that it makes it a little more realistic. The Jumbo Confetti sprinkles have to be my favorite part though! Aren’t they great? Next time I make a huge cupcake I’m going to have to shop for the Jumbo Nonpareils, because those are my favorite (original sized) cupcake toppings!

Someone else also liked this huge cupcake, and the pictures show. Camdyn kept trying to get a finger (or tongue) full of frosting. ;)
