Christmas is Just 5 Months Away

I know I've been pretty quite around here, but it's not for lack of knitting. I figured it was time to get a start on my Christmas knits and I wanted to tackle my biggest project first. About 2 weeks ago I started knitting the Lizard Ridge blanket for my mom, and am already over halfway done! The pattern is a lot simpler than I though it would be, especially once I found this tutorial provided by KnitPicks on picking up wrapped stitched. The yarn I'm using is Noro Kureyon, colorway 164. I got an amazing deal on full bags of Kureyon at Little Knits, so I picked up two bags for this blanket and another two bags for a second Lizard Ridge in colorway 150 for myself! The sale is still going on although a few colorways have sold out.

Over halfway there

I've also been thinking a lot about what else I want to make for my family. I haven't started on anything else yet but I'm planning on a Koolhaas, Architect Scarf, Hemlock Ring Blanket, February Baby Sweater, and various mittens, hats, toys, and probably a shawl. I haven't totally figured it all out, but it's still early. :) So I have a question few questions for you. Do you plan on knitting any holiday gifts this year, and if so, what do you plan on making? Also how many gifts do you plan on knitting? I'd really love to knit something for everyone in my family, but I don't know how realistic that is. I'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions!
