The Hawkeye hat is knit from the bottom up in the round, and the bill is added later with a short row technique. This is a great project for all skill levels. You can personalize your hat by adding a patch. We have provided an online tutorial on how to add felt patches to your finished cadet hat. Please visit our Patch Tutorial for a step by step guide as well as free patch templates. Price: $5.00 Sizes to fit adult Small (Medium, Large): 20"-21" (22", 23"-24") in circumference. Hat is designed to fit above ears. Yarn requirements: Approximately 130 yards of worsted weight yarn for large sized hat; small and medium require slightly less yardage. We used Cascade 220 Superwash Wool (100% wool, 100 grams/220 yards), colors #869 Army Green and #875 Stone; Cestari Wool 2 Ply (100% worsted weight wool, 112 grams/210yards), color Blackberry.

Hey, nice hat.... Although, I think it looks more like a Radar that a Hawkeye! Tehe!
(If any M*A*S*H fan doesn't get this, I will come over and personaly wip you with a wet noodle. Just Kidding!)
I love this pattern! I had some problems with the short rows as i have never done them before but i got it!!! I will have a pic in a day or so on my blog after i block the hat! Thanks so mcuh for the wonderful pattern!!!! Huggs Marion
