Happy 1st!
The Rambling Rows afghan by Cottage Creations has been in process (in my head) for a long time now. I will finish one by the end of the year!
I have had A-Line Aran by Kathy Zimmerman in my queue from the beginning but it has been in my heart even longer. I just don't possess the skill to knit it yet, nor the tenacity either. It is from a back issue of Knitter's Magazine which I used to subscribe to.
Happy Blogiversary! I lurk a lot, but haven't commented..
The oldest thing in my
Happy Birthday and thank you for such a helpul and inspiring site!
Happy Blogiversay as far as things that have been on my knit list there are lot but one that I would like to start and finish is a Diamond Fantasy Shawl and I need to finish my Chevron scarf.
Longest - Hourglass Sweater. I have all the lovely Sundara yarn waiting to be made into this simple sweater but I have crafty ADD. Oops.
happy anniversary! I have been dying to get around to your fabu mushrooms! keep up the good work!
Umm...I would have to say Saartjie Booties :)
Log Cabin Blanket from Mason Dixon Knitting. Have wanted to do it forever.
Nice blog, my mom just e-mailed your site to me this morning, and I'm enjoying it. Project longest on my list would be the Rogue Hooded Pullover from girlfromauntie.com. It has been on my list since taught myself to knit last Christmas...
Happy blogiversary! I'm guessing that the pattern I've wanted to knit the longest is Birch... ever since seeing the Yarn Harlot's version nearly three years ago!
Happy Blogiversary! Tis is a lovely place to come and visit.
Longest item on my to-do list is another Yuletide gnome to match its friend.
Love your fiddlehead mittens!!! Congrats and thanks for holding a contest for us!
Mine would HAVE to be "Ubernatural" by Stefanie Japel. I don't know why I haven't made it yet, come to think of it!!!
Happy Blogoversary! :)
The Kittyville hat from "Stitch and Bitch" is something I've wanted to knit from the first month I started knitting! As I type that it's seeming ridiculous that I haven't knit it yet.
BTW...My hubby will LOVE your Hawkeye pattern! I'll have to make him one for Xmas this year.
Happy Blog-iversary! I stumbled on your blog a month or so ago from Flickr i think....
The Tomato T is has been on my list for while....but will be waiting a bit longer while we move cross country!
And I left my brain at home....
Happy Blogiversary!!!! :D
I've had Nothin' but a Kid's T-Shirt by Alison Hansel (in the Thing 1 and Thing 2 design) in my queue since right after I learned how to knit 9 months ago. I thought it was perfect for my twins, but so far I haven't mustered the courage to try a sweater yet. But I'm getting there! :D
Congratulations on the one year anniversary! You've got a really great blog here - I've been reading for a while, but I suppose it says something greedy about me that a contest prompts me to finally comment. ;)
The item languishing longest in my queue is the Sweet Mary Jane cardigan. I bought the yarn and pattern at least two years ago, and it's only a few weeks ago that I even started to swatch.
Shetland Triangle in Sundara's Aran Silky Merino. Way to be original, eh?
Happy Anniversary. I love your blog.
I have wanted to knit monkey socks by cookie a since I started hearing about knitted socks.
Congratulations on your blogiversary!
I have been had the Calorimetry on my list for ages. I must have a mental block on that pattern.
As usual, your mittens and everything else are impeccable. Thanks for sharing!
Woah, those prizes are out of this world!
I've wanted to knit the "Five Dollars in Paris" sweater and the Endpaper mitts for quite a while.
Congratulations! This blog is one of my daily must-reads :).
I've had the Endpaper Mitts on my list since before I could knit... which also goes to show how not-long I've been knitting.
Congratulations!
I think Knitty's Tubey has been on my to-knit list the longest, but it's hard to say because my list changes so often!
Congratulations!
I've had the pattern for the Cabin Fever top-down raglan sweater for at least 5 years now, and haven't come close to starting it. (Although now that I have my KnitPicks Options, I have all the different needles I need for it.)
Happy Blogeversary, or however you spell it :) This is my first time reading your blog and it's definitely going on my favorites list !
SOOO fabulous! i can't believe it has only been a year! i am always so happy to see both of your projects on the blog and on flickr. love your work!!
Thanks for celebrating your anniversary with us! :)
I think the Baby Tart Hat from Knitty.com is one of the patterns I've had on my list the longest...
Congrats -- happy blogoversary! My oldest queue item is a classic Norwegian colorwork pullover. It was the first sweater I ever started, but I didn't know what I was doing and bought a lot of very cheap worsted weight wool for the project. Needless to say, that didn't work very well ... I'm still planning to make one some day!
i've had the central park hoody on my "to knit" list for as long as i've been knitting sweaters....i really do need to knit that at some point
I have an arnhild mitten kitt... I even took on one of my latest vacations and after having gauge problems to the shelf it went
Latvian mittens. When the Yarn Harlot made them a few years ago, I bought the book and plenty of yarn to make them. I have yet to even cast on, although I do have the charts picked out that I want to use.
Happy Blogiversary! I love the journal templates - I'm printing them out and adding a crochet cover for my journal.
I am still longing to make Alicia Paulson's Tiramisu baby blanket - actually there is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't start it now :)
Congrats on the anniversary! I only recently started reading but this has fast become one of the few I take the time to read whenever there is a new entry.
I usually don't do these kinds of things, but wow! that blue yarn is gorgeous... Also, I really enjoy your blog. The thing I've had on my to-knit-list the longest is a wooly sweater or cardigan for me. I keep buying the yarn and the pattern books, I just never get around to the actual knitting. Other, smaller things always occupy the needles. I dunno how it happens.
congratulations!
I really enjoying reading all your entries :)
I see a bunch of patterns already on my list, but "The Season of Darkness and Winter Light" jacket from Norsk Strikkedesign has been on my list ever since the book came out--2002.
Happy Blogiversary!!!!
You guys are rockin' it for only being a year old! Congrats!
The project I've had longest in my que is the hourglass sweater from Weekend Knitting. I've wanted to knit it for years now... and keep getting distracted.
Happy Blogiversary!
I think the item that's been on my queue the longest is a Mitered Square Blanket.
I've got so much in my queue that it's frightening. I think that one of the Lavold Viking cabled patterns is probably the oldest — but I keep finding amazing new things courtesy of Ravelry, so I don't know when I'll get to do it. Thank you for the generous contest!
Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Congrats on one year of beauty.
My longest queued item is thermal. I bought the yarn for it at the beginning of March 2007 before my mother-in-law became so sick she could not get out of bed. I remember this clearly since I bought a huge bag of yarn at paradise fibers and then went and returned a few things because they were to be for my MIL and since she had passed away I could not gift them to her.
yeah for one year!
i really want to try this hat: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/stellas-hat
looks wonderful... OR i'd like to give socks a try, but pretty intimidated:(
Happy 1 year anniversary.
I have many projects in my queue. One that has been in there forever is Monkey by Cookie A. It's been in the queue for 9 months!
(Found you on ravelry, btw.)
Happy Blogiversary! Love your patterns for those cute little mushrooms!
What a nice blog! I have a baby afghan on my to-do list. I have the yarn, just have to make myself cast-on and get knitting.
Happy Blogiversary. Your blog is absolutely beautiful for only being a year old. Congratulations.
Looks like those great prizes have drawn the lurkers out.
The item in my "to do" list the longest, is the Log Cabin Socks by Anne Woodbury. All I need is the blasted book.
hi
happy birthday i really like your blog
my longest is the jaywalker socks i started them 6 months ago and i'm scared to start the heel
Starmore's St Brigid....several years....
Happy blogiversary! I think the project I've had on my "to do" list the longest might be a sweater (the exact one varies from time to time) from Alice Starmore's Fisherman's Sweaters book. I think I bought it at a second-hand bookshop even before I found my first real LYS!
Wow, one year! Happy Blogiversary! I found your blog after seeing one of your awesome projects on craftster and I've been lurking ever since. But I was a bit shocked to see it's only been a year; it seems like I've been reading for so much longer than that!
I'd say that the Apricot Jacket has been in my queue for the longest. It's so pretty, but I find myself casting on for guaranteed instant gratification projects instead.
Congratulations on reaching your one year blogversary. The Wonderful Wallaby Sweater from Cottage Creations was my longest on the to do list but I started and finished it this week. Loved the pattern.
Congratulation on a great year.
I have had the Clapotis pattern in my "queue" almost from the first month knitting. I still can't decide what yarn I want to knit it in, but someday I will knit it.
I just found your blog through another blog. I have been knitting just over a year. I am itching to try a pair of socks. I have a pattern in my book that keeps calling my name.
Happy Blogiversary!!!!
I have had Sheepy Pants by Mandie Harrington in my ravelry queue the longest... for as long as I have been knitting technically... which is only 2 months!
I love your blog and hope to read it for many more years to come!
Happy Blog-iversay!
The pattern I've had the longest in my queue is the Brown Bag pattern in Knitty. I have the yarn, I just need the needles, but I'm procrastinating!
Happy Blog-a-versary! Pre-Ravelry: The Diamond Fantasy Shawl by Sivia Harding is the item that has been in the queue the longest. I think it is beautiful, so I have no idea why I haven't bought the pattern yet. Post-Ravelry: Trellis from Knitty.com. I finally have the yarn, but still haven't knit it yet.
Happy Blogiversary (to one of the few I still read religiously)
The first thing I put in my Ravelry queue was Gathering Intentions by Fiona Ellis, although I've had St. Brigid in my mental queue much longer. Took me a while to get the nerve to put it in the virtual queue.
I might need to do another hedgie though. :)
Congratulations! And thank you for such lovely inspiration. I've only been reading your blog for the past three months and loving it.
Elaine Adult Poncho has been in my queue for ages... It's already missed the winter just gone. But who knows maybe it will make the next! Below is a link to the PDF file.
http://host31.spidergraphics.com/yrn/doc/249ElaineAdultPoncho.pdf
Congrats on your blogiversary!! I've enjoyed reading all of your posts.
Hello, I love your blog! Love to see all the beautiful things you knit all the time!
Wow - JUST cleaned my queue up the other day... On my actual queue: Simple Knitted Bodice by Stefanie Japel (7 months). At home, on the BIG NOTEBOOK: Wine Cozy (Knitty Winter 2004), 2 years!
Congrats! It's always a pleasure to visit your blog!
At the moment I have the French top (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/top--bretelles-1 in Ravelry) waiting. Actually I started it and almost finished the back, but it's waiting to be started all over again.
The project that has been for a ridiculously long time in my queue is the
Knitted Bunny by Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer. Probably it's too easy :D
This blog is super helpful, thank you so much for 1 year of sharing great templates, patterns, etc... I've finished two Bunnies based on Mr. Dangly pattern, but I still want to learn to knit on the round and make you version of it!
Happy one year! I've been dying to make the cabled bolero by Norah Gaughan for a while now. So delicious!
On a v. embarrassing side note...I never realized that there were two of you until today. Sorry! What can I say...I'm a skimmer :)
Happy one year! I think the Woodland Fairy Wings by Kat Coyle have been in my queue the longest.
I'd have to say <a href="http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/rogue/detail.php">Rogue</a> is the one I've had on my 'to-do' list for longest. I bought the pattern at least 3 years ago and I keep trying to match it with just the right yarn in my stash but I never seem to.
Congrats on one year!
The project longest in my queue has been branching out. It was in my mental queue when I was more inexperienced and the charts seemed too scary...and I've just never gotten around to it.
Congratulations on the blogversary!
The truth is I just learnt the two basics stiches for knitting and I'm trying my hand in a simple scarf. I hope to be able to do a sweater and some socks in a not so distant day (no pattern chosen yet). :)
Congrats on your blogiversary!
This has been on my to-do list forever, Baby Sweater on Two Needles (February)by Elizabeth Zimmermann.
I've wanted to knit the Icarus Shawl ever since it came out, but just haven't yet.
Happy Blogiversary!
Happy blogiversary!!!
I think Joy has been in my queue, at the top, for the longest. I have the yarn, the beads and I really want to make it. I just haven't cast on yet.
I have so much on my to-knit list, I can't remember what came first! Probably the Jacke en Apricot from an old Rebecca, or a Flower Basket Shawl.
I'm another Rogue girl - who knew there were so many of us. I've had the yarn and pattern ready to go now like 3 years, shoot I should really start it one day :)
I'm new to your blog - but I would have never guessed you've been only doing this a year. Way to go! I've been inspired so much in the bit of time I've been here. Knit on :)
Congrats on your blog. I love your projects.
I started knitting last year. I guess I've had the pattern for Calorimetry in my list for a long time and now that it's spring it will probably stay there until fall.
Wow, you've only been blogging a year? I stumbled upon you recently and thought you've been at it much longer! Great blog and congrats!
I think the thing I've had on the mental list longest is Rogue. I had just started to knit when it was first out and it was waaaaaaaay beyond my skill level. I think I should start it this fall so I have it for the next sweater season.
Congratulations on your 1st birthday.
I must admit that I intended to knit a sweater from a Phildar pattern book for my daughter when she was born. She's 25 now and I still haven't knit that sweater though I still have the book and each time I look at it, I think I still want to knit that sweater. Maybe I'll be able to knit it for a granddaughter some day.
hooray! happy one year old! i didn't even realize i'd "known" you guys from the beginning! :D
the thing that's been on my back-of-the-mind knitting list the longest is the Sunrise Circle Jacket by Kate Gilbert from interweave... but i actually don't think i will ever be able to knit it! NINE pages of directions? i n t i m i d a t i n g .
i'm on a yarn diet, so don't include me in the contest, but i wanted to say congrats on your blogiversary! i'm looking forward to another fun year!
Congrtulations on your blogiversary! My longest queued crocheted item is 9 months old, the Reduction Tote Bag by Anne Frost. And, my longest queued knitted item is the Inanna Cape by Paloma Parra and Lorill Anderson, 8 months ago.
I love the Swallowtail shawl. I know so many people have done it and may seem like old news but I love shawls. What keeps me from doing it is all the lovely shawl patterns I have in Victorian Lace Today. Love your blog, congratulations on your anniversary!
Happy Anniversary! I have so enjoyed your blog and thank you for your incredible (frequent) content.
I've had an array of Christmas stockings in my queue for...seriously, 7 years. When I first began knitting, I bought materials for different designs for each family member...all of which are still stored away (gulp). I think we just put a monkey on my back!
Hi !! Happy anniversay ! I though your blog was there for longer than a year since there is so much useful information on it !!! The pattern I have on my "to do" list the logest is the Pinwheel Sweater for Children by Shelley Mackie ;-)
Happy Blogaversary!!
This is my first time commenting (thanks for the contest!) but I'm a long time follower of your blog. There are so many to-dos, I'm not sure which is first: clapotis, potamus, ene's shawl, urban aran cardi...too much knitting to do, too little time.
Vaguely defined: a thick winter fitted cardigan in pink.
Defined: an entrelac stole or scarf in Noro Silk Garden. I have the yarn!
Happy Blogiversary!!
I think that I'm probably another one who's had the Rogue sweater in my "want to do someday" mental list for a very long time. At first it was because I was just learning to knit, but now... maybe I should go buy some yarn!
Happy Blogiversary! The pattern in my queue the longest is a Cardigan for Arwen.
Happy Blogiversary!!!
My oldest project is Felted Carpet Bags by Nora Bellows.
I think I am now prepared to tackle it....I think.
Congrats on the one year mark!
I've not been knitting very long, but the item I've queued the longest has been the Sunrise Circle Jacket by Kate Gilbert!
Thanks for reminding me! I believe the item that has been waiting the longest in my queue is the dang calorimetry! I'm not sure what's taking me so long - it looks like a one-nighter, and I hate wearing hats, so you would think I would be done one by now! Happy Blog Birthday!
Happy Blogiversary! The oldest thing in my queue is the Union Square Market Pullover.
rusted root by zypher. i have drooled over this forever, but have yet to order the goodies to make it.
The first pattern I ever found online that I liked was <a href="http://www.trendsetteryarns.com/pattern%2031/pattern3156.htm">this one</a>. Congrats on one year!
Love to jump by every day to look at the wonderful knit you guys have done. The pattern longest queued is the Violet blouse by Amimono (a young danish knitter, like myself.) There is a picture of her stuff here... http://www.amimono.dk/FW05/03A_03_VIOLET_UK.html
Thanks for sharing all your stuff with us all...
Congratulations on your Blogiversary!! The oldest item in my queue is the Forest Canopy Shawl by Susan Lawrence. I've got the yarn so I don't know what's stopping me!
That would be Wisp, from knitty.com; I've wanted to knit it to use some mohair yarn I have stashed I don't know where else to use!
Rogue from The Girl From Auntie has officially been in my queue to be knit since 9/1/2005. That's the date I purchased the pattern. I've wanted to knit it longer than that.
I will knit Myriads of Mushrooms
and I love your knitting journal pdf's.
Happy "Birthday"
Clapotis!
Happy one year anniversary. It's not that long since I discovered your blog for the first time but it's been such an inspiration to me; thank you so much for sharing.
I think I've had the Central Park Hoodie on my list since it blew up across the blogs. I've bought yarn twice, knit the back, ripped the back, knit a sleeve and ripped that too.I've sold all the yarn and am now looking for something in blue.
Happy Bloggy-versary!
Beautiful blog! Your photographs are some of the best I've seen. I've been wanting to knit Snow White for a while. It's usually #1 in my queue but always gets by passed! Happy B-day!
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!
I loved your blog all this time and I had no idea you've only been around just one year! SHEESH! time flies! :)
I've probably had the Monkey Socks in my queue the longest. I've been meaning to tackle socks again soon but just haven't had the confidence yet. This summer, I think :)
Happy Blogiversary!!! I enjoy reading your blog and thanks for all the tips and ideas. What I have on my to do list for the longest...The Garter Stitch Jacket by Fleece Artist and the Claptois.
happy blogiversary! I really enjoy reading what you both are up to.
The thing I have wanted to knit the longest is "A Cardigan for Arwen" from Interweave Knits Winter 2006.
Happy Blog Birthday!! :o)
And many more!
My longest Q item right now is the Ripple Skirt, and I just pulled the yarn back out for it again! LOL
Congratulations, ladies! I loved seeing all of your projects this year, hope this year is just as productive! P.S.-longest awaited project? Spindle socks by Anna Bell, I've had the yarn for them forever!
Happy Birthday!
I have to say that I've had Pink Lemon Twist's Hanami Stole on my list the longest - checked in Ravelry, yep 8 months in total.
Happy Blogiversary! Ooh I think the longest so far is Twist which I have the yarn for too. I just havent had the motivation to start it yet as I have been knitting up a lot of other things. I love reading your blog by the way.
Happy blogiversary! I've had Hopeful, by Jenna Adorno, in my queue since I learned to knit... and I'm not even sure if I still like the pattern, but at least I bought it right away, since it's not available anymore.
Happy Blogiversary! Here's to another fabulous year!
happy blog-anniversary!
i've had the "twisted tweed socks" by Schrodinger Knits in my queue for 8 months! i have the yarn, I just can't seem to find a time to start. I keep making all this baby stuff.
Happy One Year - looking forward to the next!
I think the Branching Out scarf is probably the oldest item in my (mental) queue - that definitely pre-dates Ravelry by good bit. First thing I put in my Ravelry queue was the Bellatrix socks.
Happy Anniversary! What a great website.
I've been wanting to knit a Moebieus for the longest time. Forgive the spelling
Congratulations!
I would have to say ive been sitting on Tubey the longest. Its such a pretty sweater. I just cant knit well enough yet! :-)
Happy Blogiversary! I'm glad I found you guys. I'm a big fan of all the knit toys! Though I have to say, you two are the fastest knitters ever - you've always got FO's posted!
The oldest thing on my Ravelry queue is the Baudelaire socks. Someday... someday!
bon anniversaire!
the thing that i have had on my to-knit list the longest has been kate the cat from knitty!
Congrats on your first Blogiversary!
I will have to second Rogue as it is one of the first things I ran across when I discovered knitting blogland. I'm pretty confident I can actually do it now, so just need to find the time and decide on a yarn!
Happy Blogiversary!
For me it is Eunny Jang's Venezia pullover. I'm just afraid that I won't be able to finish it, or that if I do manage, it won't quite fit right...so I'm waiting, until I'm a little bit richer, and a bit better of a knitter.
Happy blogiversary!
The pattern I've had in my cue the longest is an entralac scarf.
happy blogiversary! you two are always inspiring with your lovely pictures (the photography is as appealing as the knits themselves)
i'd have to say the snapping turtle skirt from knitting nature has been on my list the longest. i swear someday i'll really knit it...
Congratulations!
It's gotta be Clapotis. I probably never will knit it.
I probably have had the Branching Out Scarf on my "to do" list the longest.
I've so enjoyed your blog. It's been so much fun seeing into your fun world of fuzzy hedgehogs, mitten craziness, and toys of all kinds!
Before I even learned how to knit I stumbled on to knitty and some knitting blogs by searching for the Tubey sweater. More than 2 years later and I still want to knit that sweater and I still haven't gotten around to it.
Happy Anniversary Alice & Grace - looking foward to another year of inspiring knits!
Congrats on your Blog-Anniversary.
I love your blog and read it daily.
I have wanted to knit the Claptois for so long, everytime I see it on Ralvery I just can't decide what colour. Looking forward to another year of inspiration.
Happy happy blogiversary! May you have many many more years of blogging happiness! =)
I'd say Rogue, or the Hourglass sweater from LMKG. Mostly because I am afraid of knitting sweaters! =P
Happy Blogiversary!!
I have been dying to cast on Shetland Triangle. I have some Claudia Hand-painted silk that is just shouting to be used up!
Happy blogiversary! You two are always so inspiring. The thing that has been on my to-knit list the longest is the Hourglass sweater.
according to ravelry, i've had clapotis, huggable hedgehog and irish hiking scarf on queue for like 9 months!!
i can't believe this is your first year of blogging. it looks like you two have been doing it for years!
Happy blogiversary! I've enjoyed reading your blog so very much this year, and can't wait to see more from you two next year!
I'm fairly certain that the project that's been on my "to-knit" list for the longest is the Lace Blouson from the Summer 2004 IK (which I've wanted to knit since it came out). I've definitely had the yarn to knit it longer than any other yarn that I've not already knit up.
Happy Blogiversary! I only started reading you a couple of months ago, but I love your site. Here's to another year.
My knitting albatross is Katie Marcus' buttony sweater, which I a pattern I chose before I had any sweater confidence. I KNOW that I will knit it one day, but every time I'm ready to start a new project, something else kind of weasels its way in there. Well, congratulations on the blog birthday, and great job last year!
Happy blogiversary! I've loved seeing what all you two manage to crank out! My to-knit pattern has to been the Must-Have Cardigan - I hunted down the pattern years ago and I've had the yarn stashed for at least two years. Someday....
Thanks for the reminder. A Norwegian sweater. I inherited the yarn, pattern, and needles from my grandmother. In 1972. Thirty. Six. Years. Ago. Should be skilled enough by now, ya think?
Happy blogiversary! Here's to many more! Cheers!
Hey happy blogiversary! I'm actually mostly a lurker, though I have commented before. I wanted to let you know that my best friend and I started a co-blog of our own, and yours was the inspiration, so thanks!
The pattern that's been on my to-knit list the longest is the Central Park Hoodie from Interweave knits... but I've never knit a sweater before, so I am nervous to knit it! :)
Happy Blogiversary! I have so enjoyed reading your blog daily! The color choices in all your projects are just so inspiring!
My longest running Queue project is a multi-patterned lace top from Vogue. It's a great project, I'm just a bum. It's been 18 months on that project.
Happy Blog-anniversary. I have enjoyed reading the blog.
My Ravelry Queue has a Shedir hat and Marguerite Beaded Shawl (from a Jamieson book) being queued 9 months ago. Have yarn for both in stash.
Pre Ravelry would probably be an Aran sweater from Aran Knitting by Alice Starmore or something from one of her other books. I have wanted to knit one of hers for years but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Congratulations on your anniversary. I have enjoyed your blog and read it daily. I am working on documenting my projects thanks to the Knitting Journal. I admire your gloves, but, lo, I am not a glove maker. The robots were so cute. In my "to do" stash is a sweater for my husband. Great intentions and desire, but what if he doesn't like it? That is what is holding me back. My goal, however, is to make it this Christmas.
Congrats! I've loved reading your blog since I found it on Ravelry. All the handknits you've both made are amazing and the pics seem to almost do them justice! I hope you put on more yarn reviews, like doing one on Classic Merino wool. I wonder how you could find a fault with it!
Umm. I think the prize for the most patient project goes to.......Crafty Alien toys! They're so cute!
I didn't really keep an accurate to do list until I joined Ravelry last year, but I do know I bought the pattern for Something Red by Wendy Bernard back in 2006. I even have the yarn for it!
Happy blogiversary!
Jody Green's "Mariah" (from Knitty) has probably been on my "to knit" list the longest.
Happy blogiversary!
I don't know if it's been on my to-knit-list the longest, but it's got to be close - the Phildar Zip Cardigna (Phildar Tendances Printemps 2005, Gilet #425-T4-429), a lovely version of which you can see here: http://girlwhoknits.blogspirit.com/phildar_zip_cardigan/
Happy Blogiversary! I found your blog a couple months ago and am amazed at how many projects you both complete... I love seeing your FOs! You both inspire me so much. :) (in fact, I found Malabrigo worsted in the lettuce colorway and had to cast on for foliage asap!)
The Central Park Hoodie has been on my to-knit list since I started knitting about 3 yrs ago. Sweaters, in general, are daunting for me because there's such a time commitment involved (I do much better on smaller, quick knit projects lol), plus the yarn I'd like to knit it with is pricey, so I need to wait to start it until I'm good and ready!!
Happy, happy blogiversary! I've had "Rogue" on my list since I first started to knit. I think I'll be getting it done this year. ;)
Eunny's Deep V Argyle Vest. It's been on my list since the pattern came out, but I'm not sure if I'm really a vest person.
Congrats on the anniversary- the blog is beautiful!
Happy bloggiversary!! I love reading your blog each day. I've had Clapotis on my queue for ages! :D
Happy blogiversary!
Longest in my queue would have to be a three-way tie between Clapotis, French Market bag and Clessidra stockings. I queued all three on the day I discovered Knitty and haven't knit a single one yet!
Happy Blogiversary!
Rayne's socks from Miknits has been in my queue the longest- my daughter doesn't wear my knit socks anymore so no rush.
Kenyetta on Ravelry
Jaywalker socks! Thanks for the contest!
Happy Anniversary! FANTASTIC site--I can't believe how many projects y'all crank out.
I've had the Must-Have Cardigan in my queue forever. I "must have" it...I just don't know when I must have it. Next Fall?
Happy Anniversary! I truly love reading about your knitting adventures, and it is really neat to see the different styles you two have. You always add to my must knit list.
The pattern that I have been meaning to do for almost as long as I have been knitting is the Kitchen Couture Apron by Jordana Paige. It is such a fun looking little pattern, but I just never seem to get around to casting on.
Happy Blogiversary!
I guess the pattern I've had in my Rav queue the longest is a really gorgeous purse, mile a minute sequins and beads purse. I love it, and I'm going (hopefully!) to make one soon!
WEll shoot, Happy Blogiversary! And many more. I guess Flyingdales (by Lisa Lloyd)is the moldiest thing in my queue and the really sad part is I knitted the whole thing once and it was too small and I ripped it and the yarn and pattern sit there taunting me still. I need to make that a summer project.
Happy Blogiversary! I've been reading for about a month now. The project I've had in my Ravelry queue the longest is the Hedgerow Socks by Jane Cochran. I know I want to make them, they're just intimidating me right now, lol.
Happy blogiversary!
I think the oldest thing in my queue, my mental one that is, is an Hourglass Sweater out of Rowan Kid Classic. Have the pattern, have the yarn, haven't started it in the three years since I got the yarn. One of these days I'll cast on for it.
I've had Dream Twister Socks by Mona Schmidt in my queue as long as I've been on Ravelry, and I really really want to make it... I just don't quite trust my sock-making skills yet!
Congratulations on one year! I have been reading a couple months. The one thing I have waiting to be knit is a market bag. I want one so bad and in many colors, I even have the yarn for it. I am not sure what my excuse is?
Happy Blogiversary!
I'd have to say that the Chevron scarf has been in my queue the longest. I love it, but I haven't stashed anything for it yet. Maybe it likes being on my queue list more ;)
My Ravelry queue isn't that 'old' at all. That's because I only just started adding things to it as I surfed Ravelry. The oldest things on there are 1 month!
But the way things are going they may be sitting there for quite some time... I always find other new stuff that captures my attention.
Congrats on your first year :-)
The oldest item in my Rav queue is Regina Rioux Gonzalez's Psychotic Tomato. I guess I just never got around to it!
Has to be Sunrise Circle Jacket. I even have the yarn for it. I even made a gage swatch. For some reason I can't bring myself to start. For a while, I think I thought the pattern was above my skill level. Now I don't know what my excuse is
Well, happy anniversary. Glad I could de-lurk.
P.S. - I'd like to note that I am the second 'Cecilia' to comment on this post. There aren't many of us. Must be a sign of an awesome blog ;)
Happy Bloggyversary! I've enjoyed reading very much!
Oldest thing in queue - a sweater. Any sweater. Just a freaking sweater.
Happy blogiversary! The things that are oldest in my Rav. queue are a handful of Momma Monkey's socks. I think I added them right when I got on Ravelry, and they hang out on the first page, taunting me.
I am de-lurking to say Happy Blog-anniversary. The oldest item in my queue is an afghan for my son. Pattern was selected an yarn was purchased when he graduated from college and moved into his own apt. in 2005 - not done yet!
Congrats on your Blog-Anniversary!
Congrats!
My oldest pattern on queue are the Gothic spire socks from Cookie A. :) I don't own it, but I will purchase it the next time.
I love your blog!
Congrats!!! And here's my entry...the oldest item on my Rav-Queue is Eunny Jang's Entrelac Socks. It has been on my Queue for 11 months now. There are actually more that were queued around the same time..but I opted for this one to enter. ;-p
Whoops, I didn't mean to post broken code. Sorry about that! Can you please remove it from my comment? Thanks!
Hi ladies, happy one year! It's been so much fun reading your blog and enjoying all your lovely projects - looking forward to the next year!
I have a handful of projects that have been in my queue a really long time, but I'd have to say the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/print-o-the-wave-stole">Print o' the Wave stole</a> by Eunny Jang has been there the longest of all. Like other commenters, I've had the yarn, pattern, and needles ready for ages, but I just haven't gotten to it yet.
I'm not a 100% sure but I think the pattern that has been in my queue the longest is the simply knitted bodice. I remember deciding I wanted to knit it after I first started knitting, and I still haven't made it. One day!
Congrats on your blog anniversary! I've had the Jaywalkers pattern in my queue since joined Ravelry over 6 months ago. I'm not sure I'll ever get to knit them!
I want to knit leggings ( my own pattern) out of cashmere/silk sock yarn ( maybe fleece artist)
Does it count if it has been vaguely defined for a long time? I have had a cardigan, hooded sweater in my queue forever and I finally decided on the cardigan for arwen, which is still in my queue what 2 years later or something :-p
happy blogiversary! :)
"Heere Be Dragone" shawl - so stunning, so daunting!
Congrats on the Blogiversary!
Next time you're on Rav, swing by my stash. I have pics up of the KnitPicks Bare that I dyed using your wonderful tutorial!
Happy Blogiversary
Wing-'o-the-Moth Shawl by Anne Hanson is the oldest item in my queue. This has been on my to-do list since the day she released the pattern. I've been waiting for more confidence in my lace knitting before I tackle it.
Happy 1 year! I've been reading for about a month as I just taught myself to knit. My to-do list is short- Caiden's skirt is next ;)
Cable Down Raglan by Stepanie Japel has been in my queue since it first came out. There are plenty of others on my long time to-knit list too.
The Montego Bay scarf...gorgeous, but it just never seems to be the right time.
Well, those Cookie A. Twisted Flower socks have been taunting me for a very long time! Happy One Year Anniversary, what a endeavor the two of you have going!
I've got the entire book of Folk Shawls on my to do list. I bought the book ages ago and now all I have to do is learn how to knit lace and wear a shawl!
Happy Blogiversary:)
Lady Eleanor Stole from Scarf Style in Noro Silk Garden.
I have the yarn and everything, just have not started it.
Congratulations on your Blog-Anniversary!!
