Holiday Giveaway

It has been a crazy few days. One Tuesday Si and I flew out to visit Alice and her family in Vegas. We’re spending Christmas here, and the rest of our family will be joining us shortly. When I was packing I had to triple check to make sure that I had all of my knit gifts, and at the moment it doesn’t look like I forgot anything! Yay! It has been so fun to visit with my sister since I haven’t seen her for six months.

Just a few examples of the beautiful yarn and roving you can create with this kit!In the spirit of the season we have decided to have a contest to say thank you to all of our readers. One lucky person will win a fully loaded Easter egg yarn dyeing kit. With this kit you’ll be able to create your own hand dyed Chevron Scarf like the one Alice made, a hand painted lace shawl, or like a thousand other things using our Easter Egg Yarn Dyeing Tutorial! Not only can you dye yarn, but you’ll be able to create gorgeous, colorful rovings like the ones here. Here’s what is included in the kit…

1 skein Cascade 220 in #8505 (white)
1 skein Cascade 220 in #8010 (off white)
1 skein fingering weight Knit Picks Bare, 100% Merino Wool (440 yards)
1 skein fingering weight Knit Picks Bare, 75% Superwash Wool/25%Nylon (462 yards)
5 oz. Brown Sheep Co. Wool/Mohair blend roving
4 oz. Brown Sheep Co. Superwash Wool roving
4 oz. Columbia/Dorset blend roving
1 Easter egg dye box and four extra dye packets
1 small bottle of Kookaburra Wool Wash
4 dye squirt bottles
5 dye mixing cups
1 package of foam brushes
1 small funnel

The yarn dyeing kit we'll be sending to one lucky person!

All you will need to provide yourself is the dye pot, tin foil or steamer, plastic wrap, vinegar, and a few other household items. Since this package will be pretty large, we’ve limited this portion of our contest to people who live in the continental United States, but don’t think that we have forgotten about the rest of you. We will have a separate drawing for copies of our original patterns, the Hawkeye and Kiddie Cadet hats, for those of you living in either Alaska, Hawaii, or abroad.

To enter just tell us what you’re wishing for most this holiday season. If you live outside of the continental United States, please add that to your comment we can make sure you get entered into the correct drawing. The contest will run until December 27, noon PST, where we will use a random number generator to pick the winners. Also make sure to enter your email address when entering. It won't be shown but we will need it to contact you if you win. :)

I am wishing for less money troubles, and for gas prices to stop rising. My husband has to commute an hour back-and-forth to/from work.

  • December 27, 2007, 12:27 pm - Aunt Kathy (http://gimpykatk.blogspot.com/)

I am wishing this holiday season to be healthy enough to get off the oxygen and start living again. I am ready to get my life back.

  • December 26, 2007, 4:56 pm - Nicole (http://astryd.wordpess.com)

I'm wishing that a friend will deliver a healthy baby in early February. She was just put on bed rest, and it has been hard for her. I'm starting to teach her to knit to keep herself busy.

  • December 26, 2007, 8:30 am - Jessica Deamer (http://jessicadeamer.vox.com)

I wanted more than anything else this year to have an altercation free Christmas... and for little man not to eat too much wrapping paper :D

  • December 25, 2007, 10:46 pm - tammy

my wish this holiday season is to try to slow down and enjoy life more .... and to knit more! ;)

  • December 25, 2007, 9:13 pm - Beth (http://craftycanines.typepad.com/stuck_on_socks/)

I think the thing I wanted most this Christmas was a calm, laid-back holiday. Although I didn't get exactly that, I can tolerate this year's level of craziness. :)

You know, the Chevron Scarf is *still* in my Ravelry queue. I think it was the first thing I put there!

  • December 25, 2007, 6:50 pm - Susan (http://reddirtknit.blogspot.com)

I wish for the world a big dose of tolerance and much less divisiveness.

For me? I'd like to get rid of this everlasting virus. I'm glad I have a home but I'd also like a roof that didn't leak!

What a magnificent contest. Here's a good wish for you too. Use it however you like.

  • December 25, 2007, 1:03 pm - Sarah (www.eatmyoxygen.com)

No way I'll win, lol, but I'd love a chance to dye up some fibber as I never have. Anyway, what I'm wishing for most- strength.

    Merry Christmas!

  • December 24, 2007, 6:40 pm - Felicia Ryan (http:feliciaknits.blogspot.com)

What a fun and generous prize package! My Christmas wish would be to reconcile with my oldest son. And I think I'll just leave it there.

  • December 24, 2007, 5:24 pm - Adrienne (magicpixieknitter.blogspot.com)

I want the same thing for Christmas that I have wanted for the last few year which is a ring.. "the ring".. I've been in the same relationship for 10 years and it's time, but I don't think I will get it this year either..the next thing I would like is for all kids to be with me for Christmas..and since we are all short of cash this year.. I don't see that happening either. So I would like to forfeit my wish and give it to a child that wont be having a nice Christmas this year..Hear that Santa.. pick a child in need and grant them their Christmas wish..!!

  • December 24, 2007, 11:07 am - Mandy

    Thanks for the contest!

My biggest wish during this holiday season is to be open to new opportunities in the new year as I've suffered the loss of some of my dreams in the past two months and to have good health!

    Happy Holidays!

  • December 23, 2007, 11:36 pm - Zabrina (http://knitasaurusrex.blogspot.com/)

I'd really love for my family to just be happy and together... and for me to be a little more 'okay.'

  • December 23, 2007, 6:45 pm - Jen Minnis (http://www.jenminnis.com)

this Christmas, the *thing* i want most is a set of hand cards. my husbands cousins have a few sheep, and they've promised to let me have some of the wool. i need to learn how to process it so i can spin it up!

but my biggest Christmas wish is for a child this coming year... we've just started trying to conceive.

  • December 23, 2007, 6:36 pm - Suzanne B

I am wishing for good health. My parents and I have had a few health issues this year and I am hoping that it's all good news after the new year.

  • December 23, 2007, 4:37 pm - PBnJ (http://pbnjsfiberygoodness.blogspot.com)

Thanks for the contest! I'm feeling pretty content myself, but my wish is for all the other commenters to have true peace and health for themselves and their loved ones!

  • December 23, 2007, 3:15 pm - ChrisB

I'm wishing for good health for everyone this coming year. Between my mom's problems, my own issues, and now my 2yr old son being diagnosed with asthma, '07 has been a roller coaster.

  • December 23, 2007, 2:32 pm - Lucy (http://zebraknits.typepad.com)

    What a generous giveaway!

Really, I am wishing for health and well being of my family back home whom I don't get to see often.

    Happy Holidays!

  • December 23, 2007, 10:33 am - Jenn

I already got what I was most wishing for- my baby (due 5/5/08) to be a girl! Now I can stop threatening my husband that I'll teach him how to knit...
I suppose my not-yet-fulfilled wish would be for snow on Christmas Day (hate to drive in it but it's so pretty!)
    Happy Holidays to all!

  • December 23, 2007, 9:53 am - Elsie

I am wishing for health and happiness for my family and pets and peace for all.

  • December 23, 2007, 9:46 am - ruth (http://theyarnarian.blogspot.com/)

I'm wishing for peace and for people to stop hating each other because of religion, skin color, ethnic group, and any other idiotic reason to hate. Life is short. It's our obligation to make it count.

  • December 23, 2007, 9:00 am - Poppins (http://www.upsaid.com/teachermom)

I'm wishing for watercolour painting gear, specifically a travel set for painting on the go when we are on holiday.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • December 23, 2007, 7:48 am - Cindy (http://eweifarm.blogspot.com)

All I want for Christmas is for Social Security to accept my disability and to start paying me. But, since that doesn't look like it is happening in this lifetime, a job(s) so that I can contribute to our bills. A stay at home job knitting &/or spinning would be perfect.
And a most joyous Christmas season to all. May you be surrounded by your loved ones and have all the good health and good cheer that you can stand!! Merry CHRISTmas to one & all!!

  • December 23, 2007, 12:48 am - Amanda

I do not keep any holidays during this time of the year but when my holidays happen I want a Majacraft Rose.

  • December 22, 2007, 9:12 pm - Monica

I'm wishing to get all my gifts finished up (0/5 so far)!

Also wishing for better health in the new year.

  • December 22, 2007, 10:28 am - Jodi (www.caffeinatedyarn.blogspot.com)

  • December 22, 2007, 8:55 am - Elinor (http://spacekitty.wordpress.com)

I'm wishing most for snow. It's been so warm in Baltimore, and I JUST got off school for break, and I barely have time before Christmas shows up. I want snow so it feels like holidays for my two weeks off. I deserve the break. And the sledding. =D

  • December 22, 2007, 1:25 am - Doris Huneycutt

Couldn't find the message I sent around 1pm today. So, am trying again:

My wish is for everybody whom I know (that includes you as from this minute on)to stay healthy always!

  • December 21, 2007, 11:41 pm - Sarah (http://bellaknitting.typepad.com)

What an awesome contest! My Christmas wish is to get all of my gift knitting done on time! I'd wish for a white Christmas too, but since we're going to be visiting my parents in Southern California, I'll settle for sunshine. ;)

  • December 21, 2007, 11:21 pm - Tanya (http://turtleslakeknitting.blogspot.com/)

Hmmm...aside from world peace and to end world hunger? Enough knitting yarn for everyone to always have their most desired stash?? I think a delightful, enjoyable white family xmas! (we have not had snow fro xmas since i was little, never that my daughter has been born.)

  • December 21, 2007, 11:18 pm - zarafa (http://zarafa99.blogspot.com)

    I wish for contentment.

  • December 21, 2007, 8:29 pm - Carrie (www.knitbytigs.com)

What I want most for Christmas? Well, I really wish I could see my daughter that I haven't seen since she was 6.5 years old but since that's a gift even old Santa couldn't serve up I'll be more practical and wish for the work phone to not ring once from 4 pm on Monday night until 9:30 am on Wednesday morning.

  • December 21, 2007, 8:16 pm - Kenyetta (http://knittykittykat.blogspot.com)

    What a neat kit!
I am wishing for most this holiday, beside the safety and health of everyone near and dear to me, is that the nurses scheduled to work on Christmas day actually show up. I have to work my normal 7a to 3p shift but I am also on call from 3A to 3A on Christmas, I just want to spend some time with my girls.
    Happy Holidays!

  • December 21, 2007, 6:41 pm - Shannon (www.minervaturkey.com)

Wow, what a generous and fun contest ladies! I am so excited to enter.

My holiday wish is to have safe travels while we visit family. I get so nervous traveling on major holidays, but our family is spread out all over the state so the travel is unavoidable. We will even be visiting out of state family this year.

Thanks for putting together such a fun contest, and it was really nice reading the other entries. Happy Holidays.

  • December 21, 2007, 6:35 pm - Tycoa

I am just thankful for having a roof over my head, a car to drive, a job to go to, and to be blessed with hobbies that I have learned that when times get tough, can be used as a back-up. Nothing else is that important. Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday!

  • December 21, 2007, 6:11 pm - ChristyH (www.sockstobeyou.blogspot.com)

My wish was answered already. My mother and I have reconciled after many years.

    What a wonderful prize!

  • December 21, 2007, 4:38 pm - Heide (www.heideho.wordpress.com)

I really, really want a job... heck, I'd even settle for an interview and a "No thank you" letter. That and more knitting time to complete the presents I'm trying to finish before the big day. Cheers!

  • December 21, 2007, 3:30 pm - Barclay (babablacksheepyarns.blogspot.com)

I wish for my blog to start getting more traffic in 2008. Maybe I need to offer a prize giveaway too! Well, I hope I win, because I'm getting a spinning wheel for Christmas and I need roving; plus, I just started learning how to dye yarn; so I could really enjoy all the different parts of this prize!

  • December 21, 2007, 3:26 pm - deb (http://knottykittyknits.blogspot.com)

For myself, I'm wishing for improved health, happiness and love in the year ahead. For the world, I wish for no more wars, people to be kinder to each other and to our poor, abused planet! (yeah, I know, kumbaya and all that---but I worry about this stuff, ya know?)

And on to a more materialistic note...Wow, that's a great prize! I've never tried dyeing before, so that would be so fun!!! :)

Wishing you and everyone a lovely holiday season and best wishes for the year ahead.

  • December 21, 2007, 3:22 pm - Karen (www.knottyk.wordpress.com)

I'm wishing for my family to be healthy! My sons, ages almost 5 and 8, are both harking and barking and just feeling miserable. If Santa happened to remember an ipod for listening to knitting podcasts, I wouldn't say no to that. ;)

  • December 21, 2007, 2:43 pm - Chrissy (www.talesofalefthandedknitter.blogspot.com)

    Fantastic Contest!

For this holiday season, I am wishing most for everyone to have time to stop and smell the roses. Time flies too fast not to stop and enjoy yourself once in a while!

  • December 21, 2007, 2:10 pm - Sherri

    This is so nice!

This is my mom and stepfather's first married Xmas together, and the first in their new house. Plus...my grandmother is coming. I just want us all to have a really good time. Especially my grandmother, since the last few holidays have been, well...difficult. ;o)

    Enjoy the season, everyone!!

  • December 21, 2007, 10:07 am - 5elementknitr (5elementknitr.blogspot.com)

My monetary wish is for a decent set of sharpen-able knives and some pyrex baking dishes.

My wishful wish is that my best friend (we've known each for 23 years) stays safe and doesn't have too sucky a holiday while he's stationed in Afghanistan.

    What a great, generous contest!

  • December 21, 2007, 9:57 am - Em (http://aemmeleia.wordpress.com)

This year will be the first Chirstmas ever that my family will not be all together, sicne my 'little' brother has moved to the Yukon! So my wish this year is that he, his partner, and everyone else who can't be "home for the holidays" have a Christmas full of happiness and joy, fully knowing how much they are loved and missed.

p.s. That's a truly awesome prize pack! I'm terribly covetous -- are you sure you couldn't ship to Toronto? :)

  • December 21, 2007, 7:28 am - Wiggley aka Mozart (http://twoguineapigs.blogspot.com)

Thanks for organising this, it's such fun!

I want to make a wish. I wish Mum finds a better job in the coming new year. We at home noticed she's been down and depressed, and getting worse 4.5 years into this current work. If it's not because of knitting and us, she probably would go insane. And if we can have another wish, we wish peace and love on earth.

    We live in Sydney, Australia.

  • December 21, 2007, 7:11 am - The Chickengoddess (http://chickenknit.blogspot.com)

  • December 21, 2007, 7:02 am - maryse (www.monster-yarn.com)

this year i have two wishes. one is for my husband to get *that* job. he's heard through the grapevine that the offer is pending but he still hasn't heard if he's gotten it. and for my brother to be happy. he's been going through some difficult times in the past couple of years and i really want him to have a good life.

i know, i'm a bit serious this year.

  • December 21, 2007, 6:54 am - lola (http://twoblacksheep.typepad.com)

  • December 21, 2007, 5:27 am - Diane

My five-year-old had one thing on her letter to Santa--a kitty. As for me, my secret hope is we get two! I've missed having cats the last few years.

  • December 21, 2007, 12:30 am - gaiagirl (http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/)

I'm wishing for a warm front to hit Oklahoma so I don't freeze when I travel from the subtropics (70-80 here).

I'm also wishing for a peaceful holiday with my (mostly dysfunctional) extended family.

And as always, I'm wishing for some GOOD yarn. No bad acrylic (some acrylic is fine) and lots of natural fibers.

  • December 20, 2007, 11:57 pm - Margaret (http://lotsofyarn.blogspot.com)

  • December 20, 2007, 11:50 pm - Coleen (www.lightingchickknits.blogspot.com)

    Hey! Happy Holidays!

When I first read this I thought... I'm wishing for itunes gift cards! Then I read everyone else's christmas wishes and gee I felt materialistic!

so... I guess I wish for world peace and an end to global warming! :)

I also wish you a lovely holiday and and happy knitting!

  • December 20, 2007, 11:47 pm - Jocelyn

    Excellent idea!

I'm hoping that we have a fun (and peaceful) holiday with my family. I started to write in detail what this would entail (who needs to behave, who needs to lighten up, etc.), but the more I wrote, the more I realized the improbability of it all happening, and I started to get depressed. Better to leave that for after a week with the family, I guess. Happy holidays to all!

  • December 20, 2007, 10:28 pm - Chris (http://www.stumblingoverchaos.com/)

    How fun!

Of course, I'm wishing for world peace, but on a more personal scale, I'm wishing for a much healthier year in 2008.

  • December 20, 2007, 10:18 pm - Monika (http://www.yarnloopie.blogspot.com)

    Mmm, yummy contest.

I guess that I am just wishing that our Christmas is fun, being the first one that is just the three of us. Also, that all the Grandmas still have a good time even though we are visiting after Christmas. Oh, and I hope I get lots and lots of yarn.

What I want most is for my two boys to at least pretend to like each other. Young boys are such a pain.

  • December 20, 2007, 7:18 pm - CC (www.threadstringandtherestofit.blogspot.com)

My Holiday wish is for more time; time with my family and friends, time to knit, time to read and time by myself.

    Oh yeah, and World Peace...

  • December 20, 2007, 7:06 pm - Liz (http://neuroticnotions.wordpress.com)

Well I was wishing for a new spinning wheel but I got that last week ;)

Now, I'm really wishing for my brother to be safe, while he is in Iraq this Christmas. And snow...I would kill for some real snow!

  • December 20, 2007, 6:36 pm - allison bee (oldballandskein.wordpress.com)

Thanks for offering a great contest!
What do I wish for...? Relaxation!

  • December 20, 2007, 6:28 pm - Trish Baskett (www.basketts.blogspot.com)

This is cool! Just discovered your website maybe a week or two ago, and I love your hedgehogs! What I'd like for Christmas is for my husband to get a job closer to where we live instead of commuting over an hour one way each day. That, and a Nintendo DS lite with the Nintendogs...

  • December 20, 2007, 6:02 pm - Octopus Knits (http://octopusknitting.blogspot.com/)

I wish for peace, happiness, and knitwear for all!

  • December 20, 2007, 5:59 pm - katrina grace craig (http://green.ketzle.net/hands/knit/index.htm)

what i am really hoping is that my family listens to me when i say i don't want a lot of gifts this year; i am trying to go with the less is more regarding stuff. which makes it somewhat perverse to be entering a contest whereby i could acquire more stuff, but really, truly, yarn? not stuff, more like air.

  • December 20, 2007, 5:57 pm - elizabeth

My wish is that my sis finds a way home for christmas this year!

  • December 20, 2007, 5:42 pm - Michelle (www.frogginqueen.blogspot.com)

I am most wishing for a little bit of relaxing with the husband and the wienies. What a great giveaway:)

  • December 20, 2007, 4:59 pm - Eliza

Hearts to Vicki above. What I'm wishing for is that the two cats and I don't kill and/or vomit on each other too much over our 5 hours of driving home for the holidays....

  • December 20, 2007, 4:55 pm - Margie (www.bluepoppy.wordpress.com)

    Great contest!

What I am wishing for the most is some peace for my husband. He's in retail and is working extremely long hours. He only has one day off a week until Christmas. Our three year old daughter really understands Christmas this year, and is very much into all the lights and Santa and the Baby Jesus she sees in the creche. We have a 12 week old son, as well, who's just a paperweight right now. My husband feels guilty because he isn't really spending the season with us. He's upset that he's missing all the "excitement".

So what I want most is for him to feel peace and understand that though we miss him, we are grateful for what he is doing for us: providing.

  • December 20, 2007, 4:53 pm - Risa (http://librarianknits.blogspot.com)

I love your Chevron Scarf! What a great contest.
My wish for the holiday is to spend a few days relaxing. The holiday season is always so stressful, it would be nice to sit back and knit and read with my family.

Hope you have a great holiday!!

  • December 20, 2007, 4:51 pm - Beverly (www.wbnm.typepad.com)

Thanks for a fun contest! I'm wishing that there is fresh snow on Christmas morning so I can cross country ski on the skis Santa brought a little early.

  • December 20, 2007, 4:46 pm - weenah (http://weenah.vox.com)

that is one huge prize package! very generous, too.

i'm wishing this holiday season that someone give me the strength to do the housework! in this house, its a lot for one person.

  • December 20, 2007, 4:31 pm - Grace (http://blogs.litfan.com)

Ooh! Tons of color fun! Please pick me!

For Christmas, I'd really love a short one-night stop at any place on the way to or from our relatives in Ohio. Hubby always wants to drive straight through. I just want to take the time to see the sights. We've been making this trip (or some shorter variation of it) for 10 years, and we have yet to stop somewhere along the way. This is a pretty great country with so many things to see and do. It seems a shame to just drive on by.

  • December 20, 2007, 4:29 pm - michelle

This will be the first Christmas without my mom, so I wish that my family can have some happy times despite the sadness we will all feel.

Give everyone an extra hug this year.

  • December 20, 2007, 4:20 pm - Carla (http://www.mylittletribe.com)

What a great contest! Of course I have to enter!

What I'm most wishing for? A safe drive as the husband, myself, and the tribe of kids get in the minivan and head off to spend the weekend at my brother's house. We'll be back home for the actual holiday, and all I'm hoping for after that is a healthy, happy, and much better year than how last year started.

  • December 20, 2007, 4:08 pm - Mary

    Great contest!

I'm just wishing an enjoyable holiday with my family in California.

I just met my long-lost sister, I hadn't even known about her until I was sixteen but always wondered if I'd see her. So one wish was already granted.

  • December 20, 2007, 3:50 pm - martha in mobile

I think my previous comment didn't go through -- I'm not trying to stuff the box, honest! Thanks for this great contest!

My Christmas wish is to get to my 5 year cancer free date w/o a relapse.

  • December 20, 2007, 3:47 pm - martha in mobile

Ooohhh! What a generous contest! Enter me, please.

What I am wishing for this Christmas is to make it to my 5 year cancer free date w/o a relapse -- I'm almost there!

  • December 20, 2007, 3:34 pm - Janet (tightly-wound-loosely-knit.blogspot.com)

Wow! What a great contest! I've never ever dyed yarn before, but it's something that I'd love to try! *fingers crossed*

What I'm wishing for most this year: no more holiday stress! This is my first holiday season in the "real working world" and it's been a harsh adjustment.

  • December 20, 2007, 3:01 pm - Siew

Wow - what a contest. Now I'm not in continental US but have friends in the US that are known as my yarn ponies and who could receive for me if that counts?!

What I'm wishing for is somewhat out of my reach but what I would love more than anything is for our house building project to be complete, as it was supposed to be. As it is, it will be done maybe in February. I had all these grand images of a huge Christmas tree in our new house. Not so.

  • December 20, 2007, 2:59 pm - Oiyi (www.oiyi.blogspot.com)

    What a awesome giveaway!

I am wishing for the safe arrival of my baby girl. And a Yarn Swift wouldn't hurt either. :-)

  • December 20, 2007, 2:58 pm - rohanknitter (www.homeschooolblogger.com/rohanknitter)

    What a great prize!

I am wishing for good weather so that all the family members coming for Christmas make it here safely.

  • December 20, 2007, 2:49 pm - Kari (http://craftyginger.blogspot.com/)

Such a wonderful box of treasures!

I'm wishing for enough Suss Love yarn to make Viveka in grey, (dammit, no magic links! LOL) A supersoft pullover to shnuggle up in, delightful!

  • December 20, 2007, 2:44 pm - Danielle (http://aswiminknits.blogspot.com)

Wow, what a contest! I am wishing for restful time spent with family this holiday season. And a hubby who volunteers to do the driving so I can knit :)

  • December 20, 2007, 2:23 pm - Vicki (http://knit.vickilicious.com)

This is such a fun contest - thank you!

I'm wishing for the health and happiness of my family and pets. We just lost a beloved kitty two days ago, and I wish for his peace.

  • December 20, 2007, 2:22 pm - Jen

I'm wishing to have a magical holiday for my little girls - mostly enjoying the company of their grandpa (who we nearly lost to Leukemia this time last year)

  • December 20, 2007, 2:00 pm - Andrea (noricum) (http://noricum.blogspot.com)

Doh! I live in Canada, so I'm not eligible for the awesome dying package. :( The best Christmas present for me would be to have three happy days (dad, mom, then stepdad's family) with no bickering or grumpiness. Plus everyone loving the presents I give them. :)

  • December 20, 2007, 1:59 pm - JennyO (http://bcjennyo.livejournal.com)

Well, today's wish is sort of weird. I'm hoping my daughter has strep because we can cure that with antibiotics pretty quickly, whereas if it's a virus, it's likely to hang around through the holidays....

Other than that, I'm most excited because I know my mom got me a Tom Bihn knitting bag, and I can hardly wait to open it. :)

Hope you have a lovely holiday season.

  • December 20, 2007, 1:49 pm - vera (knittingvee.wordpress.com)

hey, thanks for creating such a cool contest!

i think i am still a child at heart, cos honestly, i really really really want a nintendo wii for christmas! it is such an innovative and yet simple game system that my whole family can enjoy a night together without just watching tv for once!!

  • December 20, 2007, 1:45 pm - Mette (http://www.erleperle.typepad.com)

I'm wishing a Christmas with snow! Beside that I wish to give my big son a great Christmas. He is having a very hard time. Merry Christmas from Denmark.

  • December 20, 2007, 1:44 pm - Melanie (www.knittingfix.wordpress.com)

What I want most is to be the best mom and wife I can be...and to quit letting the little things get the best of me.:)
    That-is-all

  • December 20, 2007, 1:44 pm - Liz K. (http://crossroadknits.blogspot.com)

I find myself in the enviable position of having a wonderfully blessed life, so my wish is for peace and comfort for the grieving and the lonely this season. I lost my father a few years ago, and know too well how hard the holidays can be.

  • December 20, 2007, 1:40 pm - Vikki

I never enter contests mostly because I never win, but the chance to make a Christmas wish... I'll give it a shot.
    I wish for peace.

  • December 20, 2007, 1:36 pm - Lisa (http://www.goodknits.com)

aside from just wishing my family and friends are all safe and happy on theday, I'm wishing for a healthy fetus! my sonogram is tomorrow and it's like an early Christmas gift.

  • December 20, 2007, 1:16 pm - Cassie (http://theadventuresofcassie.blogspot.com/)

    What a wonderful contest!!

For Christmas this year I'm wishing to have a stress free holiday season and new year. Well maybe a relatively stress free holiday season is a more realistic goal. :)

  • December 20, 2007, 1:07 pm - Jenna

    This is an awesome contest!

What I'm wishing for most: To not go into labor while my husband is at a conference 6 hours away.

  • December 20, 2007, 1:03 pm - Liz (http://whensheepfly.blogspot.com)

Hi! What a FUN drawing! Thanks for offering it up!

What I'm wishing for the most this holiday season is that my family makes a big effort to slow down and enjoy each other's company and the reason for the season.

    Happy Holidays!
